Special Summer Gymnastics Class

Dynamic Gymnastics is offering special summer gymnastics classes for campers enrolled in the “Catch Me If You Can” Summer Camp program. These classes are held once a week for 55 minutes, while camp is in session. The price is $16 per class each week . Please note, Tom Thumb will reimburse $6 for each camper taking the gymnastics class each week on the day they are in camp. Hence, the net extra charge for parents is only $10 per class each week. 

At camp we rotate the childern to Dynamic Gymnastics as we rotate our activities with Arts and Crafts, SAR time (Stay Academically Refreashed) and outside play. No child who signs up for this offer will miss our camp activities, especially if it’s a rainy day. We have a lot of flexibility with Dynamic Gymnastics class schedule.

School Outing to Iroquois Longhouse

On our Tom Thumb Outing in November of 2010, we visited the Church of the North American Martyrs. It was built like an Iroquois long house, with a barrel-shaped ceiling and false-face masks staring outward to ward off evil spirits. The building’s architecture and artifacts were interesting and allowed the childern to experience first hand our local  native American Indian influence in the area and a little bit of history at the same time.

Our thanks to the Pastor  of Columbanus Church for allowing Tom Thumb students to visit this historic building for over 40 years.

Tom Thumb Junior Mini Olympics – May 9 & May 12

Tom Thumb Junior Mini Olympics will be held at Dynamic Gymnastics on Monday May 9, and Thursday May 12. All family and friends are invited to attend.

  • May 9 Monday – starts at 9:15 AM:  for Junior students for Mon-Wed-Fri program will be dropped-off at the regular time and place. The parents then should proceed directly to the Dynamic Gymnastics gym to be seated. The event is approximately an hour – bring your video cameras charged.
  • May 12 Thursday- starts at 9:15 AM: for Junior students for Tues & Thurs program will be dropped-off at the regular time and place. The parents then should proceed directly to the Dynamic Gymnastics gym to be seated. The event is approximately an hour – bring your video cameras charged.

Tom Thumb Senior Mini Olympics

Tom Thumb Senior Mini Olympics will be held at Dynamic Gymnastics on Monday March 21, Wednesday March 23 and Thursday  March 24. All family and friends are invited to attend.

Please Note:“Mini-Olympics” will be held even if there is a delayed opening on Wednesday, March 23 (Mrs. Beneischek’s and Mrs. Adamiak’s 3 day class) or Thursday, March 24 (Madame Gaspari and Mrs Adamiak’s 2 day classes) If Tom Thumb is delayed the “Mini-Olympics” will be held at 10:15 am instead of 9:15am.

  • March 21, Monday:  Mrs. Cappello’s and Mrs. Gaspari’s students will be dropped-off at the regular time and place. The parents then should proceed directly to the Dynamic Gymnastics gym to be seated.
  • March 23 Wednesday: Mrs. Adamiak’s and Mrs. Benischek’s students will be dropped-off at the regular time and place. The parents then should proceed directly to the Dynamic Gymnastics gym to be seated.
  • March 24 Thursday: Mrs. Adamiak’s and Mrs. Gaspari’s students will be dropped-off at the regular time and place. The parents then should proceed directly to the Dynamic Gymnastics gym to be seated.

Catch Us If You Can Summer Camp Begins July 5

Tom Thumb is announcing a brand-new summer camp program called “Catch Us If You Can” on the Tom Thumb Campus for children from preschool age through 4th grade. Camp begins July 5th through August 26th (Monday through Friday – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM). We offer both Half Days and Full Days. You may sign-up for only the days you wish. The minmum attendance is 2 weeks with 2 days per week or you may sign-up for the entire 8 weeks with 5 days per week. You can choose the days that is best for your schedule and will fit with your vacation plans.

Tom Thumb will be Open on Friday, Febuary 4, 2011

On Friday, February 4, 2011, Tom Thumb School was scheduled to be closed for a teacher’s conference. Because of the numerous snow days,  Tom Thumb will be open Friday, February 4, 2011 for Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions as a snow makeup day.
